Wordwalk gives you hints for today's Wordle, paid for in steps. It reads how many steps you have taken today so you can spend them on clues.
What we read. With your permission, Wordwalk reads your step count and wheelchair pushes from Apple Health. It reads nothing else from Health and never writes to it.
Where it goes. Nowhere. Your steps are read on your iPhone and never leave it. The clues you buy each day are stored only on your iPhone. About once a week the app downloads the next two weeks of public puzzle data from nytimes.com; those requests carry no personal information. Wordwalk has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never sell, share or transfer Health data, and never use it for advertising.
Notifications. If you allow them, Wordwalk sends a local notification at 7 AM when clues open and when you have walked enough for a clue. They are generated on your iPhone.
Deleting your data. Delete the app to remove everything it stored. You can revoke step access at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Wordwalk.
Not affiliated. Wordwalk is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The New York Times. Wordle is a trademark of The New York Times Company.
Children. Wordwalk collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
